Is Backwards The New Forward?

Ever feel like you’re making one step forward and two steps back? What if instead, what appears to be one failure after another may be creating the perfect path to success?

Crazy for cats and potatoes, Lorraine's insatiable curiosity of Life leads her to question, explore and push beyond the box. A self-professed "left-brained creative big picture" type, she has an intuitive knack for seeing beyond and beneath first appearances while at the same time nerding out on the details. Most of all she sees and holds others in their highest until they can see it for themselves.

Great reminder, Lorraine, and a lovely metaphor! I always think of life as the alternating experience of being in the trees and climbing on the mountaintop staring down at the forest. We need a balance of big-picture thinking and involved action, just like we must balance between going forward and setting up camp, smiling at our footsteps and contemplating the great abyss in front and behind. Thank you for your wisdom!

Great video Lorraine, I loved it, and I love the analogy. I’ll certainly be thinking ‘rugby’ when life takes me back a step or two, and instead of thinking “argghh backwards step”, I’ll smile now, knowing that really it’s a step forwards, fabulous – thank you for this.
