Cracked Open

I’m tired.

The kind of deep down tired where there’s little tolerance for crap – not from myself or anyone else.

What little energy I have right now is spent on what must be done. Shoulds, wants and coulds were checked at the door long ago.

Needs have formed an exclusive club with strict membership rules.

Crystal Clear Clarity

The clarity is magnifying.

Whispers, inklings and ignorings take on the appearance of crystal in contrast with all that is not empowering.

To play “I don’t know” is refueling struggle with energy I can’t spare.

Life begins forward again.

Renewed pace. Renewed path. Renewed source. Renewed me.

Out of tired is birthed a deeper sense of who I really am.

The wonder of life’s presence slips quietly through the back door while looking out the front for some big entrance that may not come.

Crazy for cats and potatoes, Lorraine's insatiable curiosity of Life leads her to question, explore and push beyond the box. A self-professed "left-brained creative big picture" type, she has an intuitive knack for seeing beyond and beneath first appearances while at the same time nerding out on the details. Most of all she sees and holds others in their highest until they can see it for themselves.

beautiful and poetic post, lorraine. and a good reminder to check in with ourselves from time to time – pay attention to our needs and draw inspiration for a clearer path.

Your writing style is beautiful, I enjoyed reading it and feeling the emotions as I read.

I loved your last line – so true, that most of us are looking for the big entrance, and we won’t know it appeared until we look back!
I also liked the idea that “needs have formed an exclusive membership club!” Hilarious! And, so true!
